Values

Our values reflect the work God has done in our lives, and our desire to be a church that is rooted in Him and His word.

Scripture - The Creator of everything has reached out to His created people by revealing Himself in Scripture. We treasure the Bible as God's written Word to all people in all places, and we receive it with great joy! We read it, memorize it, and study it, just as Christians have done ever since Jesus established His church. Luke 24:27, 45; Acts 2:42; 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is God's presence and power with His people. We want to be led by Him in everything we do. We acknowledge that unless the Spirit goes before us we will fail to accomplish the work that He desires. We want to be empowered and led by the Holy Spirit in the way the church was empowered in the New Testament. John 20:21-22; Acts 1:4-8; 2:38-39

Repentance - One of history's most prominent Christians said that the Chrisitans life is defined by repentance. We realize that we are sinners saved by grace, but we are also in need of grace day after day. We desire to live each day with a spirit of repentance, turning away from our sin and turning to Jesus in faith. Mark 1:14-15; Acts 2:38-39; 3:19-20

Community - Not only did Jesus come to give people eternal life, but He also invited them into a brand new life right here, right now. This new life is marked by community, by joining God's family. We desire to live our lives by showing love to one another and to others. We practice gathering together, sharing meals and serving in community with each other. John 13:34-35; Acts 2:46-47; 4:32

Generosity - The heart of the Good News is that God gave his Son Jesus. Because God has been so generous with us, we desire to be generous with each other and to the world God loves. The New Testament Church is a beautiful example of a community which gave of its time, abilities, resources, and lives. John 3:16; Acts 4:34-35, 11:27-30, 17:25

Multiplication - One of the amazing realities of the early church is how God multiplied disciples and churches all over the world. Through the faithful witness of a few followers of Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, the whole world was turned upside down! In the same way, we desire to faithfully multiply disciples and churches that will transform lives, families, and communities with the Good News of Jesus. Acts 2:41, 47; 4:4; 5:14; 6:7
